So Taylor Swift pulled all her music from Spotify and all other streaming services. She’s not the first but with the number one record in the world she is the biggest.
Spotify definitely noticed and countered that a full 70 percent of their royalties go back to artists and record companies.
So who does that leave on the hook? I’m looking at you subscriber (I’m one of them. I pay $7.99 a month for Google music).
Clearly if people are going to make anything near a decent living from music sales, the price needs to go up. Like a lot. So would you pay? How much?
